Like it or not the lightening Usain Bolt remains the fastest feet alive, according to BBC reporter's he remains the human thunder bolt. But the soon to be 28 year old athlete Blessing Okagbare wasn't left out of the Prestigious Guinness world ranking with 38 appearances on the track becoming the athlete with the most appearances. It could be recalled that she is the only Nigerian athlete to win two medals at a single international olympics competition.When we spoke to her, she broke down as she delivered her speech she made reference to the Tanzanian athlete Akwhari as she said he is my inspiration his words"My country didn't send me to start the race. They sent me to finish it! " plays a big role in who i am, I might not be a winner all the time but I will do my best to leave a Legacy for Nigeria.
Though Bolt was awarded IAAF world athlete of the year in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013, he is yet to have as much appearances as the multi-talented Nigerian. Okagbare holds the women’s 100 metres Commonwealth Games record for the fastest time at 10.85 seconds. She also has the 100 metres best of 10.79 as the African best in the female category of the race, while winning the African 100 metres and long jump event in 2010. In July, Dutch athlete, Dafne Schippers, at 10.92s, beat Okagbare—who clocked 10.98s – to the IAAF Diamond league trophy.
Bolt has however won many other Guinness world records as the fastest man on earth.
