20th of November would forever remain indelible in the hearts of Deltans and most especially in the hearts of the Odume Family.
Among the souls lost that faithful day in a fire inferno along the Benin Asaba Expressway was that of Mrs. Ruth Adafor Nwoko also known as Nee Odume, she was aged 58 years. Although eye witness reports differ as they were in a state of shock all stories lead to the fact that there was a queue at the petrol station when a dangote trailer on top speed in a bid to avoid collission with cars on that lane swerved into the power generator located on the road which was built to carter for the street lights along the expressway and went in flames affecting other motorists on the road, two of which were the state owned properties;
The SEEFOR truck used by the state to convey waste from homes to dump sites and The state commuter bus popularly known as Uduaghan bus.
