The passion 4 band headed by the attorney general and commissioner for justice of cross river state Barr. Attah Ochinke as its new chairman have been the most successful band in the carnival calabar been champions for 6 editions and first runner ups for 2 editions in the past 8 years it was founded by Mr. Chris Agibe who is now the executive secretary of cross river state carnival commission.

| Team Orange: Masta Blasta Band |
The Masta Blasta formally known as the orange family boasts of over 10,000 members worldwide and are the largest and most entertaining of all the 5 band, and has as its leader Cheif Gershom Bassey. They are currently the overall champions of the 2012 and 2013 edition of the carnival, they are also on record as the band to have won the most prices in all cartegories of the competition in a single year

The seagull band is the most stylish and cordinated band with the main objective of promoting and sustaining the tourism and hospitality industry, unlike the sea gull they have as their primary color red and maintains a high level of celebrity presence, it has as its leader Sen. (princess) Florence Ita-Giwa (OON) and an assistant Mrs Affiong Effiom (Full bright school)

The freedom Band is marked by its distinctive colorof yellow and was founded by Capt. Henry Brisibe and Mr. Larry Esin in 2005 since then it has been among the best 3 bands in the carnival
